Biography

SONNY LANDHAM

A descendant of the Cherokee and Seminole Nations, Sonny was born February 11, 1941 in Canton, Georgia. The Landham family having been struck hard by the"great depression" had to live very conservatively to maintain a middle class status. The goal of the family for Sonny was a top of the line education, therefore, Sonny always attended private schools until he went to college. Sonny's main goal was sports, especially football.
After three years in the army, and studies at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, Sonny went to work in the oil fields in and around Los Angles,California. In L.A. Sonny met the major influence on his life in the person of Mr.Carroll R.B.Righter, the world's foremost astrologer. Carroll did Sonny's astrological chart, and insisted, that Sonny study acting.

Sonny attended the very famous Pasadena Playhouse, where he received training in the theater of arts, and did plays on the main stage. Also, Sonny studied with renown acting coach Bob Paris, before ever venturing into the commercial acting world of New York and Hollywood. Later, Sonny studied with Frank Carsaro, the Actor's Studio, and Sal Dano. Even with all of this top notch training, it took Sonny Twenty years to be discovered over night.

Sonny's big break in movies came, when one of Hollywood's all-time great directors, Walter Hill, cast Sonny as Billy Bear in 48hrs. 48hrs. changed Sonny's life forever. The movie offers started coming fast and furious, among them, Predator, Fleshburn, Firewalker, and many others plus TV offers.

Sonny became known as a filmmaker. He produced movies, directed movies, wrote movie scripts, and even became a published author with his book Total Man, but Sonny's main passion is still golf.

Sonny's life was a fairytail until his wife developed serious mental problems, and refused any treatment. During divorce proceedings in 1998, Sonny's wife Belita ran to a women's abuse center, due to her fear of losing money and custody of their daughter, Priscilla. Even though Sonny had never struck his wife or children (Rachel Landham is a step-daughter) [the foregoing statement was made by Belita and Rachel], the fascist women's abuse groups of Kentucky and the federal government through judicial terrorism framed Sonny, and he did thirty-one (31) months in federal prison, before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals Acquitted Sonny and ordered his immediate release from federal prison saying " Landham committed no crime…..This case should never have been brought to trial." Sonny now lives in Ashland, Kentucky, where he is fighting many legal battles to get back his children, his reputation, and compensation for the agonizing hell, that he was put through.
